 IIPC PLANS FOR YEAR - 2008  

Form a students and staff project pool to work on collaborative projects between the college and companies.


Minimum 5 and Maximum 10 industry projects are done by REC Students of each department under the guidance from industry experts and REC Staff members.

 

Minimum 1 and maximum 2 presentations are given to the REC staff members from IIPC.

 

Project Guidance for three student batches (4 students per batch) and active participation and support for IBM’s “The Great Mind Challenges” program and help the students to work on new software development for the following projects:

  • Back to village
  • Customer Service Desk
  • Internet Banking System

Offer Technical and Training help for other faculty members / internal project guides in the areas of Websphere, Rational Clear Case, Rational Rose and IBM DB2 UDB.

 

Suggestion of minimum one and maximum 2 seminar topics per subject (all departments) by meeting with industry advisors and getting inputs from them.

 

Conduct the events

  • One General/management workshop
  • One Technical workshop

 

Minimum 3 and maximum 5 new industry contacts are established and MOU’s are signed for project guidance, industry visit, placements (including interaction with company HR Teams)

 

Minimum 2 and maximum 4 trainings are conducted by REC Staff members to the companies.

 

Minimum 2 and maximum 4 faculty members are trained in companies for “understanding industry project views, challenges & expectations”.

 

One IIPC bulletin which provide the details on “latest industry news, events, seminars, trainings and workshops and industry projects”.

 

Minimum one and maximum two meetings with all the industry advisory members and service providers/vendors for the college to exchange the ideas and thoughts for mutual benefit for both industries and academic side.

 

Facilitate industry experts for workshops, seminars/guest lectures & industry visit.
