T.Srinivasan is currently working as a Professsor and Head i/c in the Department of Computer Applications, Rajalakshmi Engineeing College affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. He received University Fifth Rank in M.Sc(Computer Science) from Bharathidasan University, M.B.A. from University of Madras and M.E.(Computer Science and Engineering) from Anna University. He is currently pursuing Ph.D(IT) in Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. His research interests include Information security, Distributed Peer-to-Peer applications, P2P Data management, P2P Security threats, Topologies in P2P Networks and Parallel and Distributed Computing. Out of his 16 years teaching experience, he worked in Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering(SVCE), Chennai for nearly 11 years. At the level of Assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, SVCE, he organized three ISTE Sponsored National workshops as a coordinator and initiated High Performance Computing Lab where 9-node Linux Beowulf cluster was set up with the intent of solving parallel algorithms. He also initiated quite a lot of research projects for many BE and ME students and motivated them towards a research career and made them publish in leading journals and international symposia. As a Senior Research Fellow, he also worked in the funding research project entitled “Fundamental Research in Information assurance”, sponsored by HQ-IDS, Ministry of Defence, New Delhi, undertaken in the School of Information Technology, IIT Kharagpur for nearly one and half years. He has been acknowledged as Cognizant Certified Faculty in the Workshop on "Advanced Java Technologies", conducted by Cognizant Technology Solutions, Chennai during April 2000. He has offered challenging training programmes in connection with emerging technologies to various software industries such as Syntel India Ltd., Satyam Computer Services, Cognizant Technology Solutions and Wipro Systems. He has delivered a variety of technical talks in National Conferences, Workshops, AICTE-ISTE Short term training programmes, UGC-RCC and Faculty development programmes. He has been a program committee member, reviewer, session chair for various IEEE International conferences and workshops. He has published 40 research papers in various IEEE/ACM/Springer international conferences, 5 papers in International Journals. Based on his outstanding research service, he has been selected as a candidate for inclusion in the edition of Who's Who in Asia Jan 2007, Who’s Who in the World Jan 2008, Marquis Who's Who Publication, New Jersey, USA. He is a member of professional bodies like Indian Society for Technical Education, Computer Society of India and Internet Society, USA. |
