The REC-ASU Integrated Academic Pathway (3+1+1) offers students a unique opportunity to gain international exposure and dual academic credentials. Students begin with 3 years at Rajalakshmi Engineering College (REC), developing a strong foundation in Computer Science* or Electronics & Communication*.
In the 4th year, they move to Arizona State University (ASU) to complete their undergraduate studies, including bridge courses designed to align with ASU's curriculum. Credits are transferred back to REC, and students are awarded a B.Tech degree by Anna University (through REC). They can then continue for 1 additional year at ASU to pursue a Master’s (MS) degree in their chosen discipline.

Rajalakshmi Engineering College , an autonomous institution affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, was established in 1997 under the Rajalakshmi Educational Trust.
