Rajalakshmi Engineering College is one of the leading NAAC and NBA accredited engineering colleges established under self-financing schemes in 1997. The college has been growing from strength to strength in the last 20 years.


About Rajalakshmi Engineering College:


Rajalakshmi Engineering College, an autonomous institution affiliated to Anna University, Chennai, was established in the year 1997 under the aegis of Rajalakshmi Educational Trust whose members have had consummate experience in the fields of education and industry. The College has grown from strength to strength in the last 25 years and is progressing towards Excellence in Engineering Education, Research and Development.The College presently offers 18 Under Graduate and 9 Post Graduate programmes including MBA program, with an annual intake of 2000+ students. The approval of AICTE and affiliation of Anna University for such a progressive intake is a standing testimony for the continuous growth of the college over the years. Our college is moving ahead to become a Centre of Excellence in Engineering, Management Education, Research and Development. The College is located in serene atmosphere amidst many multinational companies in Thandalam, about 25 kilometers from Chennai on the Bangalore National Highway, providing the right industrial ambience for the budding engineers.


About the Department:


Department of Biomedical Engineering was established in the year 2006. Under graduate, post graduate and research programmes are offered in the department. Apart from regular academic activities, faculty members and students are jointly involved in both in-house and clinical research. Regular workshops, seminars, guest lectures and conference are conducted on recent developments in healthcare sector. The department has signed MoU’s with industries, research organizations and hospitals for faculty training, students training, research activities and placement. Curriculum is framed in such a way that credits are offered to training in hospitals, internship in biomedical equipment manufacturing & maintenance industries and in research organisations. Interactions with alumni is periodically arranged to facilitate the students to understand industrial requirements and challenges ahead.


About the Conference:


The First International Conference on Research and Innovation in Biomedical Engineering (RIBE 2023) is scheduled in the month of July 2023. We in the department of biomedical engineering always promotes research and innovation among students, researchers and faculty members. This time we are planning to organise RIBE 2023 in REC campus. The aim of this conference is to provide a platform for international scholars, researchers, and everyone interested in relevant fields to share their experience and achievements. The conference will also provide an exposure to the researchers and technologists about recent research findings, latest advancements, challenges, areas to be explored and the clinical requirements. The event marks a national/international networking of peers and experts for collaboration and information sharing. Special focus on technologies related to IoT and artificial intelligence applied in healthcare will be provided by RIBE 2023. Participants in these fields are welcome to present their research findings in forms of papers which will be given due consideration for publication.

Call for Papers



"RIBE 2023 invites full length original research contributions from Science, Engineering professionals from industries, R and D organizations, academic institutions, government departments and research scholars from across the world. Full length original research contributions and review articles not exceeding EIGHT pages in the IEEE format shall be submitted."

RIBE-2023 invites the submission of original, unpublished technical papers on the topics including but not limited to:

Track-3 Biomedical instrumentation
Track-4 Rehabilitation and Artificial organs
Track-5 Biomechanics and Robotic for healthcare
Track-6 Non-invasive technologies for diagnosis and therapy
Track-7 IoT based assistive technology for healthcare
Track-8 Nano and micro: 3D structure and imaging

Submission Guidelines

The paper should be original and should not have been published anywhere else or be under review for any journal or other conferences.
Authors have to submit final papers in English of not more than 8 pages (including figures, tables and references) in IEEE format.
Softcopy of the full length manuscripts (in .doc format) shall be submitted to ribe-chair@rajalakshmi.edu.in

  • After receiving the acceptance intimation, the participants can pay the required amount either by Net Banking, UPI and credit/debit card.
  • The registration fee which covers the cost of conference registration kit, proceedings in soft copy, participation in all the activities of the conference, lunch and intersession tea.
  • While registering, the Camera Ready Abstract should be uploaded. (not more than 800 -900 words or 10 Mb)

  • Registered delegates will receive confirmation through e-mail.

    • All accepted and registered full research papers will be published in Conference proceedings (Having ISBN Number) and Based on the recommendations of the reviewer(s) and subsequent quality checks by publishing partner, the authors may get following publication opportunities
    • International Journal of Medical Engineering and Informatics (IJMEI) - Papers will be re-reviewed for suitability and technical contents (Scopus indexed Free Journal)
    • Few more scopus indexed Journals(Waiting for final Approval). Additional Publication Charges are applicable.
