8	Society of Mechanical Engineers-SME	2018-2019 Inauguration of Society of Mechanical Engineering on 24.08.18 in Main Seminar Hall, Workshop Block, Rajalakshmi Engineering college. 2019-2020 1. Inauguration of the Society of Mechanical Engineers on 6th July'2019 by chief guest Mr.Sivakumar.S, Assistant Manager, Quality , Isuzu Motor India, Chennai. 2. KridaYanthrik is a National level intercollegiate techno-sports fest conducted by Society of Mechanical Engineers was conducted on 26th August 2019. The techno-sports fest focuses on learning engineering through sports. So, around 17 events were organised in both technical and non-technical domains. The invocation was presided over by chief guest Mr. Sunil Viswanathan (Former Tamilnadu Ranji cricket Player) Now he is Head Sports, LMOIS Chennai 2020-2021 Ingenious is a National level intercollegiate, flagship technical fest conducted by Society of Mechanical Engineers on 22nd February 2020. The technical fest focuses on learning engineering through various technical events. So, around 20 events were organised in both technical and non-technical domains. The invocation was presided over by chief guest Mr N. Lakshminarasimhan, who is the General Manager HRD, Brakes India Private Limited and by our Guest of Honour Mr S.Rajasekaran, Managing Director of ACE Group of Companies.
