- Mrs. S. Muthu Lakshmi has translated the files of the course Environmental Geotechnics (105101196) offered by IIT Bombay from English to Hindi language.
- Department of Civil Engineering received “Teaching Awards in Engineering” by Staffordshire University, UK and Education Matters for the year 2018-2019 for maintaining academic excellence.

- Dr.M.Selvakumar, Dean and Professor served as a member of Board of Studies of Anna University for framing the Anna University 2019 regulation Curriculum and Syllabus for Civil Engineering Course.
- Dr A Rose Enid Teresa, Professor & Head of the Department is serving as Anna University Board of Studies Nominee at SA Engineering College, Chennai.
- Dr A Rose Enid Teresa, Professor & Head of the Department is served as a member of the syllabus Sub Committee for framing the curricula and Syllabi for B.E Civil Engineering to be offered in all the UG Degree Programme under R-2021 by thenon-autonomous colleges affiliated to Anna University, Chennai.
